Solar Car development team to visit Soquel High School

UC Berkeley students to demonstrate solar powered car

calsolcarThe CalSol Solar Car team will bring their working solar powered vehicle to Soquel High School April 24 at 2:00 p.m. and April 25 at 11:00 a.m. The event is sponsored by Star Child Science, a local science education provider. The event is open to the public on Saturday.

The vehicle was designed, constructed and refined by a team of Cal students.  They are currently raising funds to enter the car in the 2009 American Solar Challenge “Formula Sun Grand Prix”, a 2,400 mile cross-country race launching from Texas this June.  To learn more about the team, support their race entry and their car, visit their website.
