UC Berkeley students to demonstrate solar powered car

The CalSol Solar Car team will bring their working solar powered vehicle to Soquel High School April 24 at 2:00 p.m. and April 25 at 11:00 a.m. The event is sponsored by Star Child Science, a local science education provider. The event is open to the public on Saturday.

The vehicle was designed, constructed and refined by a team of Cal students.  They are currently raising funds to enter the car in the 2009 American Solar Challenge “Formula Sun Grand Prix”, a 2,400 mile cross-country race launching from Texas this June.  To learn more about the team, support their race entry and their car, visit their website.
