The Community Advisory Committee Art contest is open to students ages three to twenty-two. Teachers of students in special education Pre-K through Post Secondary are encouraged to organize entries by their students. Art work will be on display for the whole month of February at the COE Building and families and community members are invited to view and vote on their favorites. One student’s art work will be selected in this way to win an award as “the People’s choice.” A panel of judges will select the grand prize winner whose art work will be used in a poster to represent the CAC. This poster will be hung in school offices in Santa Cruz County. All artists and their families and friends, educators, and community members are invited to a reception at the COE in Santa Cruz, on February 22nd from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to view the art, enjoy music and refreshments and honor the winners.
