The Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History in collaboration with the Central California Writing Project and local artists introduce a new series of free workshops for kids of all ages.

Metal Sculptor Ed Martinez

Metal sculptor Ed Martinez will be working with the kids to develop an exciting new mobile, “Forage III” which will be displayed by the MAH after completion. Ed Martinez is founder of Junk Art Scramble and creator of the “Forage Species” Flying Sardine Mobile which graced the MAH Staircase in November.

Digital storyteller Fred Mindlin from UCSC’s Central California Writing Project (CCWP) will facilitate student writing and reflection about the project and the process, using voice recording, video and still photos, a live Twitter feed, and cool apps
