What do our local state parks and schools have in common? Both face devastating impacts should Proposition 30 fail on November 6.

Santa Cruz City Schools face nearly $3 million in trigger cuts this year, including the loss of a full week of classroom instruction. Our local state parks that serve us so well as diverse outdoor classrooms will also be impacted. Funding for all state lifeguards will be cut should if Proposition 30 does not pass. Area lifeguards teach over 800 students in our schools about water and beach safety. Hundreds of our students learn water skills, leadership and fitness through the highly regarded Junior Guards programs.

Join us tomorrow to speak out in support of Proposition 30. For our schools and our parks.
